History of KaraMuru:
Diogo Álvares
Correia or KaraMuru (Tupiniquim Indian for "Fish Man")
was the first European to crash/wash up on the shores of Native Bahia-Brazil
in 1509. He later married the most powerful chief's daughter (Katarina Paraguassú) and
had two sons who eventually started the first "civilized" town
in Brazil. The rest is history.
The modern day KaraMuru has kayaked
up on those shores again, but this time to "civilize" Beer
in beloved Brazil. Currently, Brazilian beer drinkers have few options for quality and diversity. Karamuru will offer Brazilians and Tourists excellent, hand crafted beer.
Brewer Naga Reshi has traveled
Europe, the Caribbean, and the Americas in search of great beers, ingredients, and techniques.
He practiced the brewing sciences in the Micro-Brew rich USA. Naga also adds local, tropical fruits and spices for special brews. KaraMuru produces wholesome, delicious beer to the local community, tourists, and to fellow beer lovers around the world.
